As gas reaches the $4 per gallon mark this summer here are some numbers to think about.


Company, Annual Profits(2005), Increase From 2004

Exxon Mobil, $36.1 billion, up 43%

Royal Dutch Shell, $25.3 billion, up 37%

BP, $22.3 billion, up 31%

Conoco -Phillips, $13.5 billion, up 66%

Chevron Texaco, $14.1 billion, up 6%

Total: $111.3 Billion in profit by the oil companies in 2005.
