Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) suggested Tuesday June 5 2007 that people who download copyright materials from the Internet should have their computers automatically destroyed.

But Hatch himself is using unlicensed software on his official website, which presumably would qualify his computer to be destroyed by the system he proposes.

Wow. How the hell did this guy get elected. I feel sorry for the people in Utah who are represented by this idiot, but then again they elected him. This corporate shill is off his rocker, thankfully no one who matters agrees with his views. I wonder how much he is getting paid by the software corporations for spewing this garbage.

The funny part of the story is the Orrin Hatch website being in violation of using copyright materials without the proper permission.
