THINK and TESLA set to produce electric cars

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

If there is one thing the U.S. needs right now this is it.

The Think Auto - About to change the world.

If we no longer need massive amounts of oil from the sand countries in the middle east there is no longer any need or excuse for us to be there.

THINK and TESLA Motors are two companies that are developing an electric car. Picking up where GM dropped the ball in the 90's and running with it. I see no reason why this can't work. We have the sun and wind to create power why the heck can't we just do it. These cars could spark competition from the big three, who knows maybe the GM EV1 will come back.

Can you imagine if we had spent the $448 Billion we spent so far on the war and instead invested it into solar and wind power for the U.S.?

$448,000,000,000 / $20,000 (average cost of solar installation) = 22,400,000 homes

Shocking: Pat Tillman was murdered in Afghanistan

Saturday, July 28, 2007

Are you kidding me? Where the first words through my mind?

Pat Tillman was murdered in cold blood, he was not a friendly fire casualty, and he was certainly not shot by the enemy. They used Tillman when he was patriotic after 9/11 and then when Tillman became wise about how ridiculous the war was they put three bullets in his head from less than 10 yards away. Or they covered up how he was killed because he was killed by someone who disagreed with Tillman’s political views which played a role in motivating the person who shot him.

Lies, Lies, Lies. Ninety nine percent of what this administration tells us is a lie. And this may be the second biggest one, only smaller than the reason we are in Iraq.

These are not my observations, these are not my thoughts, these are the facts that are coming to the surface right now.

Iraq soldier gets a bill for $700 four years after dishcharge

Thursday, July 26, 2007

What a great way to treat soldiers after returning from a hell-hole called Iraq.

After returning from Iraq over 1300 soldiers are getting billed from the Army for missing equipment. This particular soldier doesn't even know what equipment he needs to return and the army won't tell him. The Army is trying to recoup $1.5 million or in other words about 5 minutes of spending that is taking place in Iraq as you read this.

NYPD beat up civil rights attorney and his wife

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

Link to Story

New York – A human rights attorney known for handling cases of police brutality became a victim of police abuse last Thursday evening in Brooklyn. Attorney Michael Tarif Warren and his wife Evelyn, who is also an attorney, were driving along Vanderbilt Avenue around 6 p.m., when they witnessed NYPD officers “kicking and stomping” a handcuffed young Black man. The Warrens pulled over to help.

Way to abuse the people you work for NYPD.

I guess it's illegal to ride a bike in New York.

How are we supposed to choose?

Thursday, July 19, 2007

How are we supposed to choose from what has been given to us for a future president?

Let's see, we have a spineless Democrat Congress represented by Obama and Hilary on one side. And on the other side we have Giuliani who is a mirror image of the president we have now, except that the mirror is like the kind you find at the local carnival.

With Giuliani it will mean more wars with god knows what other countries besides Iraq. Giuliani will entrench this country in wars that may last the next 50 years, and kill thousands of Americans.

Now lets move to the other side. I ask the question does Obama or Hilary represent what we the people voted for last November? We voted for a strong Democratic Congress to smack down this administration if it thinks it is above the law and is not doing what we the people want.

I see a lose-lose situation here voting either way.

I do see a person that may save this country and that is Ron Paul. He will listen to the people and do what what is best for them. He will pull out of this war and instead spend the money on iron clad intelligence and United States Defense (the opposite of offense) instead of trying to fight a war over in the sand dunes.

Scary cruise story: Ship of fools

Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Johann Hari wrote this story.

After reading some of the article I caught myself thinking "can this be true" I would think that if it is not true it would be journalistic suicide to print this. So it is probably a factual story of events of a 7 day cruise organized by National Review magazine.

I can't imagine a society run by these people.... wait a minute that's happening right now and for the next 16 months!

The benefits of CFL light bulbs

I urge everyone to consider using CFL light bulbs in the future. They use much less energy and last 10 times longer than an incandescent bulb.

The incandescent bulb has been around for over 200 years, isn't it time to replace that old technology? Yes it is. Less energy used means less coal used, which means less pollution. It's as easy as that.

I was recently given 8 CFL bulbs from Lifetune of San Francisco. I will be replacing any incandescents that I have with these bulbs and then giving the rest to relatives so they can save energy also. It is possible Lifetune will be giving away more bulbs in the future, I would encourage anyone who needs them to sign up.

Thanks again Lifetune!

Videos of what is happening in Iraq every single day

If anyone is wondering what it is like in Iraq everyday go ahead and watch the video that is embedded in this page:

The Guardian's award-winning photographer and filmmaker Sean Smith spent two months embedded with US troops in Baghdad and Anbar province. His harrowing documentary exposes the exhaustion and disillusionment of the soldiers

Here is another video from the NY Times. Make sure you watch the whole thing near the end there is a painful story.

Uh oh... Another leaked memo portrays the US green zone in Iraq to be totally unsafe to walk around in unless you have your flak jacket on. The green zone is meant to be a supposedly safe zone.

There are places in this world that the U.S. doesn't belong period. The middle east is one of those places. Al qaeda is not in Iraq and that is who attacked us. Here is a New York Times article describing just that. The administration keeps saying that we are fighting Al qaeda in Iraq. It is a convenient thing to say because it gives reason for us to be there.

And another article about the use of the words Al Qaeda when talking about Iraq.

Current administration forbid Surgeon General from attending Special Olympics

Thursday, July 12, 2007

Because of politics the current administration forbid former Surgeon General Richard Carmona from attending the Special Olympics.

Take a moment and think about that.

The Surgeon General the top Doctor in the U.S. can not attend an event for kids with disabilities because the event was created by a Democrat?

It's all right here in black and white from the top newspaper in America. (4th paragraph down)

Rudy Giuliani is endorsed by David Vitter

Monday, July 09, 2007

Whats interesting about that you say?

Well David Vitter has just announced that you can find his phone number on the just released phone records of a Washington D.C. madam Jeane Palfrey.

Uh oh.... Back in 98 Vitter called for President Clinton to resign after his affair became known.

Seems Giuliani just took down the web page were it was reported that David Vitter was a supporter of his. Hmm wonder why?

Rudy also had a problem with his South Carolina chairman who was busted on coke charges.

Who killed the electric car?

If anyone is looking for an educational movie to watch this summer I would recommend "Who killed the electric car" Any Blockbuster movie rental store should have a copy of it.

It is narrated by Martin Sheen and focuses on the General Motors EV1 car they produced in the early to mid nineties. After watching the movie and then reading this article I know GM wasn't the only one who needed the EV1 to fail.

Thankfully we have another company out there that will not fold to the pressure of the oil companies and U.S. Government. Tesla Motor Company has developed an electric car and is talking about producing one that is affordable to all.

Here is the EV1 electric car

Lewis "scooter" Libby compared to the 3600 fallen soldiers in Iraq?

Friday, July 06, 2007

Fouad Ajami a John Hopkins professor compared Scooter Libby to “fallen soldiers” in Iraq.

He said “Libby" can’t be left behind as a casualty of a war our country had once proudly claimed as its own,” he wrote.

What a classless loser. How can you compare someone who died in a bogus war for this country to someone who endangered a CIA operative because of revenge for her husband who is an Iraq war critic.

Do you think any of those dead soldiers would trade 30 months in prison for their life back?

How Costco is hurting Walmart

Costco has very loyal employees compared to Walmart and there is a reason why, they treat them 10 times better!

The NY Times has an article about how Costco is great and Walmart is a complete joke.

Article

Walmart has to be the most depressing store ever. Every time I walk in there I am uninspired to spend money. I find myself thinking where could I buy this nearby so I don't have to give Walmart my money.

Sicko movie is making waves

Tuesday, July 03, 2007

Check out what happened when a couple went and saw the movie in the heart of Texas.

CNN fact checked the movie and says it is for the most part accurate.

Michael Moore barred from the NYSE. Looks like the health companies made a few phone calls to get Michael shut out.

Uh oh... :) Blue Cross memo leaked seems they are not happy with how they are portrayed as a money hoarding business who tries to deny as many claims as possible.

Michael Moore rips Wolf Blitzer for being a corporate shill on health care and on not asking tough questions about the Iraq war.

900 health lobbyist were invited to see the film, 12 showed up.

A San Francisco man is charged $12,000 for 15 minutes of care.

Massachusetts sets up a health care system

San Francisco develops a health care system for it's people.

Wisconsin is starting to take steps for health care for all.
